Annotation mode

Click Annotate in the title bar. A toolbar appears, and the board becomes a surface you can draw on.

Annotations sit above everything (files, widgets, wallpaper).

Click Done when you have finished. The toolbar disappears but the annotations stay.

Drawing over anything on the board. You can circle the file that matters, drawing an arrow between two things, establish relations, scribble freely and more.

The board is not interactive in annotation mode. Clicking a file draws on it rather than selecting or opening it. Leave annotation mode to go back to using the board.

Annotations are saved with the board, not as files in your folder, so they travel with it. See Where Deskboard stores things.

Deleting the board deletes them. See Create and delete boards.
