Moving items
The board is a free layout. Nothing is forced into a grid, and you can drag anything anywhere. This works in and out of edit mode.
Dragging
Section titled “Dragging”Hover over an item and a grip handle appears at its edge. Drag from there.
Or hold Alt/Option and drag from anywhere on the item.
Snapping
Section titled “Snapping”As you drag, items snap to line up with the edges of nearby items, helping you align items easily.
To place something freely, hold Ctrl/Cmd while dragging.
Moving several items
Section titled “Moving several items”Select them and drag any one of them, and the rest come with it, keeping their relative positions. See Selecting items.
Reaching the far side of the board
Section titled “Reaching the far side of the board”Drag an item to the edge of the window and the board scrolls, so you can carry it past what is currently on screen.
Exact positions
Section titled “Exact positions”In edit mode, the Layout tab has a Position field for items on the board. Type coordinates in when you want two things placed identically rather than nearly.
