Asking Dax
Sending a message
Section titled “Sending a message”Type into the box at the bottom of the panel and press Enter. Use
Shift+Enter for a new line.
Attaching a picture
Section titled “Attaching a picture”Click the image button beside the input box, or drag an image file straight onto the panel.
Attached pictures appear above the input box before you send, and can be removed from there.
Following along
Section titled “Following along”Dax tells you what it is doing as it works, so a long answer is not a blank wait. You will see things like which file it is reading, that it is looking through a folder, or that it is indexing files the first time it meets them.
It also shows how many steps it took and how many tokens the answer used.
Stopping
Section titled “Stopping”Press Stop while Dax is working to cut it short. This is the right move when you can see it has misunderstood you, rather than waiting for an answer you do not want.
Dax stops where it is and asks what you need instead. Nothing it had already changed is applied; that still waits for you in a review. See Reviewing changes.
Moving and resizing the panel
Section titled “Moving and resizing the panel”Drag the panel by its header to move it anywhere on screen, and drag its inner edge to make it wider or narrower.
Both are for the current session. Reloading the board puts the panel back in its usual place, which is also the quickest way to recover it if you drag it somewhere unhelpful.
Close it with the x at the top, or the Dax button in the title bar.
