Board shortcuts

A board shortcut opens a board directly, skipping the Deskboard app. Put one on your desktop and the board is one double-click away.

In the Create Board dialog, tick Create Desktop Shortcut. You can then set:

  • Shortcut Path: where the shortcut file goes. Your desktop by default, but it can be any folder.
  • Shortcut Icon: optional. Pick any image and Deskboard converts it to the right icon format for your system.
  1. Open the Deskboard app and find the board.
  2. Click the three dots on its card.
  3. Choose Add Shortcut.

You get the same path and icon options.

The icon is optional. Without one you get Deskboard’s own.

Deskboard converts whatever image you pick into the format your system needs, so any image is fine.

A shortcut is just a file. Delete it like any other. The board itself is untouched, and you can make a new shortcut whenever you want.
